Comet Panstarrs

Comet Panstarrs

After several nights of frustration over cloudy skies, I had a clear horizon this evening & was lucky to view & get an image of comet Panstarrs or C/2011 L4. The comet was seen below & to the right of the crescent moon about 30 minutes after sunset.

The shot above was taken about 7:30 this evening [13th March 2013] using a 70-200m lens at 200mm with a 2x converter on a Canon 60Da on a tripod. I shot in manual with shutter speed 1/10 sec at f 5.6 and ISO 1600. Image was put through lightroom to remove some of the noise.
