Amongst the flowers

Another shot from the recent photowalk at Airfield Park.

  • The woman in the background is taking the eye away from the boy especially since she is so central in the pic., Clone her out. :-)

  • karen knows more about this kind of thing, but to me the woman needs to be there. the boy would look desperately lost when the lady would be cloned out. unless you could also change the expression on the boy's face. maybe i read this/his little adventure in a wrong way?

  • The photographer should have moved her to the tree before the one she's standing (perfectly acceptable for this type of subject matter) as she is preventing good visual movement in the photo.

  • No, I actually I think in this instance, this works as it is. The eye is not drawn out of the image. The figures are centralised and one can see the relationship between the two.

  • Love this shot Shane, he'll hate shots of himself in fields of flowers when he's older :o)

  • Love the feel of this shot shane, great relationship between the two, I assume that's your good wife in the background. Looking forward to seeing the rest of that panel

  • I still stand my ground. It doesn't even look like the boy was naturally in the field; he looks bewildered! The flowers are nice; there is a lot going on in the picture and the lady by her positioning is forcing the eye to the right.

  • Class..I love this.. and in my opinion you need the mother in the picture to make it real.. Lovely shot Shane :-)

  • Thanks all for the comments. For me, I love this shot as it shows my little 3 year old having fun walking through the flowers with his mother keeping behind making sure he doesn't get up to any divelment. Thanks again all.
